Do you have some yarn laying around and a hankering to make a super cute crochet crown? Well, let’s make one!!
Materials used:
Caron Simply Soft (or a similar 4 weight yarn)
I (5.25mm) crochet hook
Scissors
Embroidery needleG
Abbreviations:
CH – Chain
SC – Single Crochet
HDC – Half Double Crochet
DC – Double Crochet
SK – Skip
SLST – Slip Stitch
Special stitch:
Star stitch- you can find a detailed description of how to do this here.
Sizing:
Newborn, Child, Adult
(if these don’t fit quite right you can size up or down a crochet hook to get a different size)
Pattern:
Row 1: Ch 64(76,88), dc into the 3rd hole from hook, dc to the end of the row (60,72,86)
Row 2: Ch 2, Star stitch across, hdc into the end
Row 3: Ch 2, hdc 2 into center of the star stitch, continue until the end of the row
Row 4&5: Ch 1, sc across. (61,73,85)
Row 6: Ch 2, sk 2, *in same stitch work 4dc, ch 3, slst to top of 4th dc, 3dc. sk 2, sc, sk 2,* repeat * until the end of the row.
To finish off your crown, just sew up the side and tie in any loose ends!
